ZP EPOXY LACQUER is a two-component, transparent, high-gloss epoxy varnish to be used on coatings made of epoxy or polyurethane paints to increase their mechanical and UV resistance. Can also be used directly on concrete surfaces (e.g. floors in halls, warehouses), as well as for protecting wooden surfaces, e.g. floors, countertops, furniture. ZP EPOXY LACQUER increases resistance to abrasion, scratching, mechanical and chemical loads, reduces water absorption and increases resistance to UV radiation.

ZP EPOXY LACQUER is a two-component formulation, transparent and with an intensive gloss, to enhance the protection and durability of coatings made of epoxy or polyurethane paints. Its use contributes to increased mechanical and UV resistance. It is a product that can also be used directly on concrete surfaces, such as floors in halls or warehouses, as well as to strengthen the strength of wooden components, including floors, countertops or furniture.

ZP EPOXY LACQUER effectively reinforces protection against abrasion, scratching and exposure to mechanical and chemical stresses. In addition, it reduces water absorption and enhances UV resistance. Thanks to these properties, this product is indispensable in the process of protecting and reinforcing various surfaces, making it an excellent choice for increasing the durability and strength of various coatings and substrates.

Directions for use

Substrate preparation

The substrate should be sound, dry, even (without cavities or cracks) and free from contaminants such as oil, cement polish, dust, old coatings and any signs of biological aggression.

When painting an epoxy or polyurethane coating older than 2 days, it should be properly prepared – sanded, washed and degreased. Ceramic should be thoroughly degreased and then washed.

Any old paint coatings should be removed.

Application

Mix the two paint components together by stirring with a slow speed mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved. After mixing the two components, allow 5 minutes for the mixture to vent.

The product should be applied to the prepared substrate using a brush, velour roller or spray in a minimum of two working operations.

A second coat should be applied after approximately 12 h, crosswise to the first coat.

Surfaces coated with ZP EPOXY LACQUER should be protected against water until completely dry. The coating achieves full mechanical resistance after a minimum of 3 days and chemical resistance after a minimum of 7 days.

Notes

  • the product should be stored and used above 5°C
  • wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves when working
  • store in original sealed packaging, in a cool and dry place
  • protect from direct sunlight
    clean tools with organic solvent immediately after use
  • carry out the work in accordance with the rules of the trade, the standards and the relevant health and safety regulations.
