ZP SOLVENT PRIMER

26.0849.69

ZP SOLVENT PRIMER is an aqueous solution of a fine-particle acrylic dispersion deeply penetrating the grounded substrates. The product is designed for application to absorbent and porous substrates both indoors and outdoors. It effectively reduces the absorbency of the substrate while unifying the parameters of the entire primed surface. It regulates the absorbency of the substrate and reduces paint consumption. Does not contain organic solvents.

ZP SOLVENT PRIMER

ZP SOLVENT PRIMER is a solvent-based priming solution enriched with SBS copolymer. It is used for priming substrates prior to the application of solvent-based bituminous coatings and thermal weldable membranes, and can also be applied to maintain corroded concrete surfaces. It is a solution of excellent efficiency, deeply penetrating the substrate, with short drying time. By using ZP SOLVENT PRIMER, you increase the adhesion of subsequent layers – bitumen coatings or weldable membranes.

Advantages of our ZP SOLVENT PRIMER

The recommended consumption of ZP SOLVENT PRIMER is 0.1 – 0.4 l/m², which makes it very efficient. The drying time is max. 12 h depending on the absorbency of the substrate, which allows for quick application of subsequent coats. It is recommended to apply 1 to 3 coats of the preparation, and thanks to the possibility of application by brush, roller or spray, the application process can be easily adapted to the needs. The preparation should be applied at air and substrate temperatures between 5°C and 30°C, which allows application in various atmospheric conditions.

Summary of the advantages of ZP SOLVENT PRIMER:

  • deeply penetrates the substrate
  • increases adhesion of substrates to bituminous coatings
  • highly efficient
  • ready to use after mixing
  • can be applied with a brush or roofer’s brush

Directions for use

Substrate preparation for solvent-based primer

The substrate should be stable, dry or dull, even (without cavities or cracks) and free from contamination, i.e. oil, cement laitance, old coatings and any signs of biological aggression. Dirt and layers with poor adhesion should be removed and replenished with a suitable material.

Solvent-based primer application

After opening the package, the contents should be thoroughly mixed. Then apply to the substrate in undiluted form with a roller or brush as a thin and even layer. Highly absorbent substrates should be primed 2 – 3 times using the wet-on-wet method. For the first coat, the primer can be diluted with water at a ratio of 2:1. The primed surface is ready for further work after a drying time of about 2 hours at a temperature of +20 0 C. Seal the container tightly after completion of the work.

Notes

  • the product contains water – do not store or use at temperatures below 5°C
  • protective clothing, goggles and gloves should be worn at work
  • store in original sealed packaging in a cool and dry place
  • protect from direct sunlight
  • clean tools with water
